Adapter sleeves are the most commonly used component for locating bearings with tapered bores on cylindrical shafts. They can be used on both smooth and stepped shafts.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Adapter sleeves consist of a bushing, lock nut, and lock washer (or locking clip). Adapter sleeves with lock nut and lock washer are interchangeable only as a complete set; parts from different sources are not interchangeable. Adapter sleeves are easy to install and do not require additional fixings to the shaft.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n
