Super precision angular contact ball bearing

Super precision angular contact ball bearing

Super precision angular contact ball bearings (also known as super-precision spindle bearings) are single-row bearings engineered to handle combined radial and axial loads at very high speeds with exceptional rotational accuracy and minimal runout.

Unlike standard angular contact bearings, super-precision versions meet stricter tolerances (typically P4, P2, or better — equivalent to ABEC 7/9 or ISO Class 4/2), use premium materials, and feature optimized internal geometries for ultra-high performance.

ZMS supply super precision angular contact ball bearings 719 series in China for 15 years.

Key Features and Benefits

Superior running accuracy — Extremely low runout and high stiffness for precise positioning
Ultra-high speed capability — Many series support dm·n values > 2–3 million (dm = mean diameter, n = rpm)
High rigidity — Excellent resistance to deflection under load
Low heat generation — Optimized ball complements, cages, and (often) hybrid designs keep temperatures stable
Combined load handling — Designed for simultaneous radial + axial forces (contact angles typically 15°, 18°, 25°, 30°, or higher)
Long service life — Advanced steels, ceramic balls, and low-friction cages reduce wear and fatigue

Common include

Hybrid versions (ceramic balls + steel rings) for lower heat, higher speeds, and longer life
Sealed options (non-contact seals) for cleaner environments and extended grease life
Special cages (phenolic, polyamide/PEEK, PPS, or brass) tailored to speed and lubrication needs
