Four Point Angular Contact Ball Bearings
Four point angular contact ball bearings are belong to separable bearing while QJ 0000 series with double half inner ring but QJF 0000 series with double half outer ring. Both angular is 35 degree. When there is no load or pure radial load, balls and rings with four point contact, when there is pure axial load, balls and rings with two point contact that can bear two way axial load. This type bearing also can bear torque load, and with funticion of single row and double rows angular contact ball bearing. Four point angular contact ball bearing only can working when there is two point angular contact.
Double Rows Angular Contact Ball Bearings
Angular contact ball bearings in two rows can bear much larger radial load but at the same time also axial load and torque. They can limit two-way axial displacement of shaft or housing. The angular is 30 degree. We list the data of 3200 series and 3300 series below.

What Is an Angular Contact Ball Bearings?
Angular contact ball bearings with high limiting speed, and can bear both radial and axial loads. What’s more, they can bear pure axial load. The larger the contact angle, the larger the ability to bear axial load。
Types of Angular Contact Ball Bearings
1. Main structure
1) Single-row angular contact ball bearing
Single-row angular contact ball bearings can be separate and nonseparate series.
Separate bearings basic models are the S70000 series, and SN 70000series are inner rings that can separate series. Inner rings and outer rings can be installed separately. They are used for the installation limiting space.
Four-point angular contact ball bearings are also separate bearings. QJ 0000 series with two half inner rings, QJF with two half outer rings, the angle is both 35°. When there is only radial load or without load, balls and rings show four-point contact. When there is pure axial load, balls, and rings show two-point contact that can bear bidirectional loads. Four-point angular contact bearings also can bear moment loads, and have the function of both single-row and double-row angular contact ball bearings. This type of bearing only can work when there is two two-point contact.
Non-separate angular contact ball bearings with inner ring and outer ring that can’t be separated installed. There are some basic structures:
Contact angle α=15° Lock on the outer ring 70000 C series
Contact angle α=25° Lock on outer ring 70000 AC series
Contact angle α=40° Lock on outer ring 70000 B series
Single-row angular contact ball bearings only bear axial load in one direction(except four-point angular contact ball bearings) When there is radial load that will cause extra-axial force, we need to put a corresponding reverse axial load. So single-row angular contact ball bearings normally need to be used in a pair.
2)Double rows angular contact ball bearings
This bearing can bear a larger load that is mainly from radial and also certain axial loads in both ways. And also can bear moment loads. They can limit displacement of shaft or housing in axial bidirectional. The contact angle is 30° the basic modals are 3200 series and 3300 series.
3)Angular contact ball bearings in pairs.
Paired angular ball bearings consist of two same specification single row angular contact ball bearings by different combinations. According to the combination of different end faces of outer rings, there are basic three series: 70000 /DT, 70000 /DB series, 70000 /DF series
Paired angular contact ball bearings can bear the loads mainly radial and certain axial load and also can bear pure radial loads. 70000 /DT series only can bear axial load in one direction, while the other two series can bear axial load in two ways. This type of bearing normally is assembled in pairs in the factory and then supplied to the customer. There is preload interference after installation, rings and balls are in an axial preload statue that improves the support stiffness and rotation accuracy as a whole set.
Allowing Tilting Angle
There is a limiting tilt for angular contact ball bearings between the inner and outer rings. Allowing tilting angle is decided by internal clearance, sizes, inner design, and the force and torque on the bearing. While the max allowing tilting angle should guarantee the bearings won’t have excessive stress. If there is a tilting angle between the inner ring and outer ring, it will affect the bearing’s working life. At the same time, bearing rotation precision will down, the noise will increase.
Tolerance and Clearance
Angular contact ball bearings can be made by different tolerances, there will be 0 level, 6 level, 5 level. Paired angular contact ball bearings used for machinery mainly be 4 levels and 2 levels.
Single-row angular contact ball bearing clearance is decided by the contact angle. It can be guaranteed by production.
Four-point angular contact ball bearings clearance will according to the data.
Double rows angular contact ball bearings clearance will according to the data.
Cage Material
When the contact angle is 15° or 25° of single-row angular contact ball bearings, the cage uses material phenolic laminated cloth pipe. When the contact angle is 40°, the cage uses stamping steel or nylon material the suffix code is TN1
When the outer dia. Is larger than 250mm, it normally uses a bronze entity cage or aluminum alloy entity cage.
Four-point angular contact ball bearings use a bronze or aluminum alloy entity cage.
Double rows angular contact ball bearings normally use stamping steel cage, but some sizes bearings also use nylon cage or bronze cage the suffix code is TN1 and M
A nylon cage is used in most applications, but the working temperature can’t exceed 120°
