What is a Deep Groove Ball Bearing?
Deep groove ball bearings with simple structure and using convenient what’s more can be mass produced. This type of bearing is the most widely used. They can bear radial load and can also have a certain axial road. When the bearing radial clearance is large, the bearing has a certain function of angular contact ball bearings that can bear a larger axial load.
If you compare with other types of bearings, deep groove ball bearings with low friction but high limiting speed. When in a situation with high speed but not suited for using thrust ball bearings, we can choose this type of bearing to bear pure axial load.
Types of Deep Groove Ball Bearings
1. Main structure
1)Basic deep groove ball bearing open style 60000 series. When there is no special requirements of assembling, sealing and pair, we can adopt this structure.
2)Deep groove ball bearing with shield, if by one side shield (the suffix is Z ) and with double side shields (the suffix is 2Z). The limiting speed is nearly the same as the deep groove ball bearing. The bearing is assembled with grease, when installed, there is no need to wash and add grease.
3)Deep groove ball bearing with seals, on side seal(the suffix is LS) and two sides seals(the suffix is 2LS) normally use NBR seal. Seal lip and inner ring rib there is radical contact. Contact sealing the sealing effect is best, but friction is big, and the limiting speed is low. While RS and 2RS are inner rings grooved, the performance is the same as LS and 2LS. If the seal lip is in no contact with the inner ring rib, it is non-contact. One side is non-contact (the suffix is RZ), and both sides are non-contact (the suffix is 2RZ) The limiting speed is basically the same as a deep groove ball bearing. When assembling the bearing, the grease is filled in. And there is no need to wash and add grease.
4)There is a rectangular groove for locating the snap ring(the suffix is N), this type of deep groove ball bearing is simply axial located in the bearing house.
2. Cage material of deep groove ball bearing
Deep groove ball bearings normally use a stamping wave cage. When the size is large and produced in small quantities, we can use an entity cage, if the limiting speed is high, we can use a phenolic resin cage.
3. Allowing tilting angle
Deep groove ball bearings allow the inner ring and outer ring tilting angle (according to bearing clearance)

4. Tolerances and clearance
Normally there will be 0 tolerance for deep groove ball bearings, but according to different application there also can be 6, 5, 4 and 2 levels.
Deep groove bearings radial clearance should fit (GB/T4604-1993 equal to ISO5753-1991
5. With snap ring groove and snap ring
Deep groove bearings with outer ring with snap ring groove the sizes and tolerances should be according to GB/T305-1998.
Application of Deep Groove Ball Bearings
