Single Row Cylindrical Roller Bearings

ZMS single row cylindrical roller bearings are designed to accommodate high radial loads and operate efficiently at high speeds.

By using premium chrome steel and mature craft, we can achieve P6,P5, P4 precision. Keep the cage to be steel or brass as options. And we can custom made single row cylindrical roller bearings as requirements of different applications.

Modals are available in multiple configurations:
NU Series — Two fixed ribs on the outer ring; no ribs on the inner ring. Allows axial displacement in both directions.
NJ Series — Two fixed ribs on the outer ring and one on the inner ring. Supports axial loads in one direction.
NUP Series — Two fixed ribs on the outer ring, one fixed rib plus a loose rib washer on the inner ring. Acts as a locating bearing for axial loads in both directions.
N Series — Two fixed ribs on the inner ring; smooth outer ring. Allows axial displacement.
Other Variants — NF, full-complement designs (no cage for maximum load capacity), and enhanced “E” series for higher capacity.

Features

High Radial Load Capacity — Line contact between cylindrical rollers and raceways allows them to support significantly heavier radial loads than equivalent-sized ball bearings.
High Stiffness & Rigidity — Excellent for applications requiring precise shaft positioning and minimal deflection under load.
Low Friction & High-Speed Capability — Optimized roller end/flange geometry and surface finish reduce friction, enabling higher speeds and lower operating temperatures.
Separable Design — Inner and outer rings can be mounted separately, simplifying assembly, disassembly, and maintenance—even with interference fits.
Axial Displacement Accommodation — Certain designs ( NU and N series) allow limited axial movement of the shaft relative to the housing, compensating for thermal expansion.
Long Service Life — Advanced materials, precision manufacturing, and optional enhanced designs ( increased capacity “E” suffix) deliver extended reliability and reduced downtime.
Interchangeable Components — Rings and roller assemblies are often interchangeable, offering design flexibility.

N, NU, NJ, and NUP Designs: Choosing the Right Flange Configuration

The most critical factor in selecting a single row cylindrical roller bearing is the flange (rib) design on the inner and outer rings. ZMS manufactures all standard configurations to suit your shaft design:

  • NU Series: Features two integral flanges on the outer ring and a flangeless inner ring. It acts as a non-locating bearing, accommodating axial expansion of the shaft.
  • N Series: Features two integral flanges on the inner ring and a flangeless outer ring. Also functions as a non-locating bearing.
  • NJ Series: Has two flanges on the outer ring and one on the inner ring. It can support the shaft axially in one direction.
  • NUP Series: Features two flanges on the outer ring, one integral flange on the inner ring, and a loose flange ring. This allows it to act as a locating bearing, supporting light axial loads in both directions.

Unmatched Radial Load Capacity via Line Contact

Unlike ball bearings that have point contact, our cylindrical roller bearings utilize line contact between the rollers and raceways. This optimized internal geometry dramatically reduces stress concentration, resulting in an exceptionally high radial load capacity. They are perfectly engineered for heavy industrial gearboxes, large electric motors, and pumps.

Heavy-Duty Cage Materials for Extreme Conditions

To ensure stable roller guidance under severe shock loads and high speeds, ZMS provides multiple cage options. Choose from lightweight and quiet glass-fiber reinforced Polyamide cages (TVP/P) for standard electric motors, or opt for our robust machined brass cages (M suffix) for maximum durability in harsh environments like mining and vibration screens.

“E” Type High-Capacity Design: Maximum Power in Standard Dimensions

When extreme loads cause standard bearings to fail prematurely, ZMS offers the ultimate upgrade: our “E” type high-capacity single row cylindrical roller bearings (e.g., NU 210 E).
Through an optimized internal geometry, these bearings accommodate larger and more numerous rollers within the exact same boundary dimensions (ISO standard). This advanced design yields a significantly higher dynamic and static load rating (often up to 30% higher) and an extended service life. It is the perfect drop-in replacement to upgrade the performance of your existing gearboxes, industrial pumps, and compressors without redesigning the shaft or housing.
